Sharjah, April 19 (WAM) — The Ataa Hamdan Volunteer Team organized a community initiative titled “Mother, the Pulse of Giving” in its second edition, held at the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The event was attended by Sheikha Azza bint Abdullah Al Nuaimi, honorary member of the team, in appreciation and recognition of mothers and their pivotal role in building society and strengthening its cohesion
The initiative honored 30 mothers of distinguished volunteers from various nationalities, reflecting social diversity and cohesion. Several mothers from outside the country also participated via video conferencing technologies, emphasizing the inclusiveness of the initiative and the global reach of its humanitarian message
Ahmed Bin Ajlan, Founder and President of the team, stated that the “Mother, the Pulse of Giving” initiative stems from the team’s deep belief in the importance of the mother’s role in supporting the volunteer movement and instilling values of giving and social responsibility in children. He noted that this recognition represents a well-deserved tribute to mothers and their efforts in raising active and engaged members of society
He added that the initiative aims to honor the mothers of volunteers who have played a significant role in supporting their children within the team’s journey, affirming that this recognition is only a small gesture compared to the continuous contributions of mothers in serving and developing society
He further emphasized that the team’s initiatives are characterized by diversity and inclusiveness, targeting various segments of society, including senior citizens, people of determination, orphans, and underprivileged families, in addition to supporting strategic partners from government and private entities in the fields of volunteering and community work.
